Mission
Many people are unaware that street harassment is illegal and that it affects the lives of many women. Help spread awareness on this issue to encourage women to report harassers and others to prevent it.
“Every woman knows that any man engaging in street harassment can switch to anger very quickly and that anger goes to rage and their rage is their masculinity being threatened. We’re scared for good reason.” - Rose McGowan
Click here to show your support and sign this petition! To help solve and increase awareness on the issue of street harassment in New York City, I have written to Mayor Bill de Blasio suggesting the implementation of anti-harassment counseling alongside the financial penalty to harassers to prevent them from repeating their offense. I have also written to local representative Felix Ortiz to suggest the addition of mandatory lessons on the dangers of street harassment in public school health classes in the city. This will educate young people and encourage them to speak out against harassment. With your help and support, we can make New York City a safer and more comfortable place for many people.
